Merappi was once a mortal who made a deal with a demon, but because he could not keep his end of the bargain, he was forced to guard both the Archdemon and the Fiends. He is fully aware of how the Archdemon pretended to be the grandmother of Cameron and is using her to enter the mortal realm to completely destroy it. He can also see inside the Wolf's memories, recounting how the Wolf would often let his brother Warren win challenges while he himself would take lashes for him. He warns the Wolf that the only way to stop the Archdemon is to release the Fiends.
